Catherine and Clara Rastin of St. Patrick’s won the bronze medal in girls’ doubles at the Ontario high school tennis championship in Toronto on June 1.

The sister team completed the tournament with a 5-1 match record.

It was the fourth consecutive year the Rastins have competed at the OFSAA championship. They won gold last year and silver in 2014.

In girls’ singles, Elise McInnis of St. Pat’s competed in her first OFSAA championship and finished with a 1-2 match record.

The Rastins and McInnis were the only Lambton tennis players among 400 students competing at OFSAA.

The Rastins qualified by winning the Lambton, Lambton-Kent and Southwestern Ontario tournaments.

McInnis also won the two county playdowns and finished second at the regional championship.
