St. Pat’s takes regional team tennis title

Outstanding performances by sisters Clara and Catherine Rastin and Elise McInnis helped St. Patrick’s High school win the Southwestern Ontario high school team tennis championship in Windsor on May 17.

The Rastins won the girls’ doubles championship for the fourth consecutive year and McInnis was runner-up in girls’ singles.

All three advanced to the Ontario championships May 30 to June 1 at the University of Toronto.

Results of other Sarnia athletes included:

Riley Bore, Northern Collegiate, 5th in boys’ singles.

Meaghan Gregoris, St. Clair, 5th in girls’ singles

Keli Grant & Raj Dighe, Northern, 5th in mixed doubles

Lyndsey Osler & Courtney Tremain, Northern, 7th in girls’ doubles

Andrew Davies, Northern, 3rd in boys’ open singles for provincially ranked players.
