Spinozzi named new Sting captain

The Sarnia Sting have named Kevin Spinozzi team captain.

The overage defenceman is in his fourth season as a member of the Sting, and fifth in the Ontario Hockey League.

The Granby, Quebec native has played 237 regular season games, 174 of them with the Sting. During thatr time he has tallied 21 goals and 89 points, and boasts a career plus/minus rating of +50.

Spinozzi was originally drafted in the second round of the 2012 OHL priority selection by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

The Sting also announced Jordan Kyrou, Anthony Salinitri and Jaden Lindo have been named assistance captains, joining Alex Black and Ryan McGregor in that role.
