Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) recently earned a nod from an international magazine.

Site Selection Magazine named SLEP one of Canada’s top 20 economic development groups in the magazine’s Canada’s best location awards.

The awards consider excellence in regional partnerships, proactive and innovative programming, and quality data, web tools and resources. SLEP joins the ranks of economic offices in Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal.

“We are thrilled to once again earn this recognition for the Sarnia-Lambton area,” said SLEP CEO Stephen Thompson. “We are proud to offer a wide array of programming that positively assists businesses of all types and sizes.”

The magazine credits recent projects and investments such as Forge Hydrocarbons, LCY Biosciences, and Woodland Biofuels as key factors in Sarnia-Lambton’s recognition, SLEP said.

SLEP is a private and public sector, community-based partnership that works to increase economic activity in Sarnia/Lambton. Its mission is to promote the distinctive advantages that Sarnia-Lambton has to offer to companies and residents.
