OFSAA tennis champions

Sisters Catherine and Clara Rastin of St. Patrick’s High School won the OFSAA girls’ doubles championship at the Rexall Centre in Toronto on June 3.

The Rastins defeated a pair from Mississauga in the gold medal match and ended the tournament with an undefeated 5-0 record.

It was the third consecutive year the Rastins have competed at the Ontario championships. Last year they were silver medalists.

Andrew Davies of Northern Collegiate made it to the quarterfinals in boys singles. The Grade 9 student, playing in his first OFSAA, finished with a 4-2 record.

More than 400 students participated in the three-day tournament.
