A French fry truck operator has had his rent reduced because of the sorry state of Centennial Park.
City council agreed to give Bluewater’s Best Fries a break because fencing around the park, which is contaminated with lead and asbestos, has kept people away from the normally busy parking lots on Front Street.
The rent was cut 50%, or $8,000, in the final year of a three-year contract with the city.
