With winter on the way officials are organizing a ‘Snow Removal Brainstorming Event’ on Oct. 24.

The gathering is to share ideas on how residents can help their less mobile neighbours with snow removal in the coming month.

"Our goal is to generate snow removal solutions in Sarnia-Lambton, particularly for community members who require support to maintain snow-free sidewalks and driveways," said Jennifer Graham, a Health Promoter at Lambton Public Health.

"Everyone is encouraged to come out and share ideas for improving accessibility in our community."

Snow removal has been identified as a priority in the Age-Friendly Sarnia Action Plan.

The two-hour session is open to all and begins 2 p.m. in the Kiwanis Room at Sarnia Arena, 134 Brock St.
