Peter Murphy has been named Sarnia’s crossing guard of the year by Commissionaires Great Lakes.
Murphy assists school children crossing the busy intersection at Murphy Road and Cathcart Boulevard, where he is often seen cycling to and from his post, rain or shine.
Commissionaires area manager Murray Quinton said Murphy is a loyal and reliable member of the team, and they often receive compliments about his performance.
