With their leaves turning red this living tribute planted by local Scouts in 2013 in Heritage Park is now clearly visible from the air.

Each tree was planted in memory of one soldier from Sarnia who died in the First World War.

Last fall, a plaque naming each of the soldiers was dedicated during a Remembrance Day Service held by the local Scouting organization. About 100 youth and adults participated.

The cross is located beside Modeland Road and was planted with assistance from the city and Enbridge Pipelines.

This image was taken by Enbridge helicopter pilot Paul Gingrich while on line patrol.
