Sarnians win silver at baseball championships

Sarnians Cam Graham and Taylor Castrillo won silver medals with the Strathroy Royals at the recent Canadian Senior Baseball Championships in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

The Royals lost 4-3 to the defending champion Tecumseh Thunder in the final.

Castrillo, a second baseman and St. Pat’s grad, had a hit, an RBI and two walks in the Royals 7-5 win over Alberta in the quarter-finals.

Graham, a catcher and a Northern grad, had two hits and scored the game’s only run in Strathroy’s 1-0 win over the host club in the semi-finals.
