The Sarnia Golf & Curling Club will host the Ontario Men’s Senior Championship this summer,

Running from July 25 to 27, the 54-hole competition is open to Ontario’s best male amateur golfers aged 55 and over, who have earned their spot through qualifying tournaments or an exemption.

The event also recognizes 60+ and 70+ champions and serves as a qualifier for the Canadian Senior Men’s Amateur Championship, to be held in Red Deer, Alberta in September.

The first two rounds will be played July 25 and 26, featuring a field of 125 golfers. The top 60 will move on to the final round on July 27. Spectators are welcome for all three days of competition, and volunteers are needed to assist with the tournament.

Sarnia hosted the same event in 2008.

“The staff and organizers at the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club have proven their ability to provide Golf Ontario with an exceptional experience for players and provide enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers for high-calibre golf competitions,” said Rob Watson, competitions manager at Golf Ontario.
