The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has handed out municipal revenue generated in the fourth quarter – Jan. 1 to March 31.

Sarnia received $108,621 for hosting the Gateway Casinos at Hiawatha Horse Park on the Golden Mile.

The Village of Point Edward received a second-quarter non-tax revenue payment of $414,744 for hosting the Starlight Casino on the waterfront.

Over the past two decades Sarnia has received more than $27 million and Point Edward more than $50 million in gaming revenue.

Payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site, the OLG stated.
