A retired Sarnia high school teacher has embarked on an epic bicycle journey across Canada.
Stan Martin is one of four men biking from Vancouver to Kitchener, Ont. to raise funds for three charities – Canadian Cancer Society, Kids Alive and One4Another.
Martin lost his wife Peggy and two sisters to cancer, and following a mission to Africa is eager to improve the lives of children in Third World countries.
The tour left Vancouver on May 24 and will end a month later.
