A debate on the environment will be held Oct. 3 for the federal election candidates in Sarnia-Lambton.

Climate Action Sarnia, which is co-hosting the event, said the forum will be an opportunity for voters to hear the candidates’ best policy ideas on environmental issues in a non-partisan setting.

The local event is part of the ‘100 Debates on the Environment Project’ being organized in 100 ridings across Canada on the same day.

At press time, four of the five Sarnia-Lambton candidates had confirmed their attendance.

The debate will be held Thursday, Oct. 3 at St Benedict’s Parish Hall, 1011 Oak Ave. from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
