For the past four years, Shepley was the manager of advocacy and policy development at the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce, working with businesses to influence government policy and promote local investment opportunities.

She attended SCITS and Carlton University, and lived and worked in Ottawa, Greenland, Denmark and the UK before returning to Sarnia in 2010, City Hall said in a release.

Shepley has worked in the private and public sectors and before joining the Chamber managed the Bluewater Sustainability Initiative.

She joined City Hall last week, where she will help develop the local business environment and support the city’s business parks, harbour, airport and other assets.
