The annual celebration of Greek culture has joined forces with the International Powerboat Festival and will take place in downtown Sarnia this weekend.
Organizers say the decision to move from the traditional September dates at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Murphy Road, is a trial run, in hopes to draw a larger crowd to the 9th annual festival
“We thought it would make a really nice fit — both events have international flare,” said coordinator Chantal Healey. “The goal is to just have a good time and be a success in our own right.”
Events will include traditional Greek food, vendors, dancers, performers and a live DJ.
