Sarnia’s Boady Santavy set a new personal best in the clean and jerk at the Pan Am Games, lifting 176 kg at the venue in Oshawa.
His snatch of 146 kg gave him a total of 322 kg and a sixth place finish in the 85-kg event.
Santavy, 18, was the youngest lifter in the competition, going up against athletes up to 11 years older.
