Rogers appointed to Sarnia police board

Published on

The chief of the Aamjiwnaang First Nation has been appointed to the Sarnia Police Services Board.

Joanne Rogers was appointed to the two-year term by the province last week.

In 2016, Rogers became the first woman ever elected to lead the Sarnia band when she handily won a four-person contest for chief.

She retired in 2014 after serving 21 years as a Justice of the Peace.
