Robert Q Airbus has added Strathroy as a stop on its four times daily Sarnia-to-London route.

The pick-up and drop-off point is the Tim Hortons at Highway 81 and Highway 402, for passengers who request it.

The move won’t impact the current schedule, which connects Sarnia travellers to VIA Rail in London, said executive vice-president Brad Rice.

In May, it was announced Sarnia would share a $1.45-million provincial grant over five years with London and Strathroy-Caradoc to improve busing between the three communities.

The city’s engineering department has begun public consultations with an inter-city busing questionnaire at www.smartsarnia.com.

Rice said Robert Q added Strathroy as stop without waiting to see the funding model to increase passenger numbers between Sarnia and London.
