Road reconstruction in city core continues

Cameron will be dug up between East and Russell streets, new sewers installed, and the road reconstructed with new watermains and sidewalks.

The city has hired All Seasons Excavating, the lowest of seven bidders, for $1.83 million.

For the past two decades Sarnia has been separating its sanitary and storm sewers to reduce basement flooding and sewage discharges to the St. Clair River.

A recent federal grant will cover 40% of the cost for six kilometres of streets in the core area over the next nine years.
