Neighbourhood stages its own Canada Day parade

Published on

When Sarnia was forced to cancel its annual Canada Day parade, families in the area of Norman Street decided to stage their own.

About 30 children took part with decorated bikes, scooters and wagons along with parents and some pets on the morning of July 1, said resident Lyn Munro.

There was even a marching band featuring two trumpets and a drummer.

Spectators looked on from their lawns and porches and everyone had a great time.
