The Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park is now nearly full after finalizing a lease with a bio medical research company.

Western Phytoceutica Inc. develops natural health products from plants, such as American ginseng.

The company has leased 1,000 square feet of laboratory space and another 500 square feet for research and development of a pilot plant at the Modeland Road facility. It plans to start work in January.

The Research Park, which opened in 2003 and has gone through some lean times, is now at 97% occupancy.
