Receding glacier?

Published on

Visitors to Canatara Park check out an ice shelf near the beach lifeguard office, as seen from the vantage point of a drone. Alternating periods of biting cold and temperate thaws have helped create dramatic caves, hills and other ice formations on Lake Huron’s shoreline this winter. This shelf, like a real glacier, will deposit its load of suspended rock and sand in a new location when it melts this spring. Drone photo, courtesy of David Cooke, inskyphoto.com
