Sarnia’s Point Lands are reaching new heights.

The greenspace between the Sarnia Bay Marina and Sydney Smith Wharf has been the temporary home of soil moved during the remediation of neighbouring Centennial Park.

The tested soil was found to be contaminant-free, so council has agreed to let Bre-Ex Construction contour and seed over the berm, raising it to a height of about four metres (13 feet).

When complete, the hill will provide a higher vantage point for viewing the river as well as provide wind protection to the marina.
