Strathroy-Caradoc has received a $1.45-million provincial grant that could lead to better inter-city bus service for Sarnians.

Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley said a competitive process will be held to choose a provider, and service could be in place by summer or fall.

The transportation grant is to help link Strathroy with Mount Brydges, Sarnia and London.

Last year, Bradley and county officials met with Greyhound, at the company’s request, to discuss options.

Currently, Robert Q provides the only regular road transportation between Sarnia, London and Toronto.
