Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey recently announced nearly $218,000 in funding to support local tourism events in Sarnia-Lambton, through the Celebrate Ontario program. Three festivals and events received a funding boost, including $42,517 to the third annual Bluewater Borderfest, happening Aug. 8-11 at Centennial Park, as well as $19,260 to the South Western International Film Festival (SWIFF), now in its fifth year, taking place November 7-10 in Sarnia. The Victoria Playhouse Petrolia also received $156,200.
