Sarnia Police are reminding holiday shoppers to ‘lock it or lose it.’
The campaign reminds residents to lock their vehicles and to not leave valuable items in plain view while doing holiday shopping at local stores.
Officers will be checking parked cars in coming weeks to ensure these theft-prevention steps are followed. A brochure will be left behind indicating how the motorists and shoppers did.
Police are also reminding the public to report suspicious activity around parked vehicles.
