Pouring a cold one at the arena

Published on

Sarnia has granted Molson Coors Canada the pouring rights for a five-year term at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

The agreement, which began Aug. 1 and is worth $165,000, includes a $10,000 draft system that will be installed at the arena, which is home to the Sarnia Sting OHL hockey club.

The brewer also committed to an annual capital investment of $1,000 to concession area improvements, including signage, as well as an as-yet undisclosed five-year luxury suite agreement.

Under a 2014 agreement between the Sting and City Hall, 60% of the pouring rights revenue goes to the hockey club.
