Police seek assistance after string of weekend truck thefts

Sarnia Police are reaching out to the public after four pickup trucks were reported stolen in a 36-hour period, over the weekend.

Police say the first vehicle, a black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado (Ontario license plate BP54557) was stolen sometime between 7:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. The vehicle is described as having a tan stripe, a lift kit and black rims.

A second truck, a dark grey, 2003 GMC (Ontario license plate BE87825) is believed to have been stolen sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Friday, from the 700 block of London Road. It’s described as having a silver pinstripe down the side, and front bug deflector.
The third truck is a black, 2006 GMC Sierra, 2500 diesel (Ontario license plate AY37086), with black tonneau cover and missing some centre caps from the rims. The vehicle was stolen around 2 p.m. Friday from the area of Indian Road and Devine Street.

A fourth truck was stolen sometime between 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday, from the area of Eastlawn Ave. It’s described as a gold 2004 GMC Sierra, 1500 (Ontario license plate AM73983) with a driver’s side running board pipe with duct tape, and a pair of boxing gloves hanging from the rearview mirror.
