Sarnia Police are bringing attention to an arrest made in a historical child sexual assault case as investigators believe there may be other unreported crimes and victims.

Police say John Moyer, 56, of Toronto, was arrested in connection to the abuse of an 11-year-old child that began in 2004 and took place over a two-year period.

“It is believed that the accused has had contact with other children since 2004 and thus other possible victims,” Sarnia Police stated. “Investigators believe there may have been other unreported crimes and would like to speak with any possible victims.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Patrick Moloney of the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch at 519-344-8861, extension 6239, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
