Point Edward is hosting the Lambton Middlesex Local League all-stars on Saturday, March 25.
More than 200 minor hockey players from southern Ontario communities including Port Stanley, Strathroy and Lambton Shores will be at the Point Edward Arena for a day of high-level hockey action, from novice to midget.
Games are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and will carry through until 9:30 p.m. that evening.
It’s the first time Point Edward has hosted the event, and all games will begin with a ceremonial puck drop and presentations by local celebrities who have shown support to minor hockey, from Mayor Bev Hand to businessman Milford Purdy.
Admission is free, and food and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day.
