A local non-profit is joining the pickleball craze and giving players of all skill levels an opportunity to compete for a good cause.

On May 7, Rayjon will host its first ever pickleball tournament at St. Patrick’s High School.

For those new to the sport, a one-hour training session will kick off the day at 11 a.m. followed by a non-competitive doubles tournament.

Pickleball equipment will be on hand, or players can bring their own. Food and snacks are provided.

Cost to participate is $30 for individuals or $50 a couple. Proceeds will support Rayjon’s ongoing projects in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
