The annual Optimist in Action Day, hosted by the Sarnia-Lakeshore Optimist Club, was held Saturday at Newton Park.
Families were treated to a free day of inflatables, face painting, treats and fire truck safety.
The event has been held since 1991 when the club adopted the park, located at Cathcart Blvd. and McCrie Street.
