Pair of Lambton Lions basketballers honoured

Two members of the Lambton Lions men’s basketball team have been honoured by the Ontario College Athletics Association.

Point guard Tyvell Peters was named to the West Division All-Star team while point guard Kardon Edwards made the West Division All-Rookie team.

Both Toronto-area natives appeared in 22 games this season. Peters averaged 21 points per game through while Edwards averaged 14.1.

Lambton’s varsity playoff run ended on March 28 after falling 96-81 to Niagara College in the opening game of the finals. The Lions also lost to Georgian College 110-94 in a consolation game March 1.

The Lions finished the regular season with a 10-11 record and averaged 89.6 points per game.
