Operation Christmas Tree

Operation Christmas Tree is returning to Corunna on Nov. 21 with a kick-off Poor Boy Luncheon at the Corunna Legion Hall on Albert Street, starting at 11:30 a.m.

Organized by the Optimist Club of Moore, the annual holiday food and toy collection drive is once again hoping to help about 125 less fortunate St. Clair Township families this year.

Donations of non-perishable food, cash and new toy for children will be accepted weekdays starting Nov. 26 at the OPP Emergency Services Building, 392 Lyndoch St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Corunna OPP are once again hosting a drive-through for donation drop-offs at the detachment office on Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Holiday hampers are filled with toys, books, clothing and food and delivered on Dec. 21 by volunteer firefighters and the Knights of Columbus.

To receive a hamper, register at the Corunna St. Vincent de Paul, 385 Lyndoch St., Nov. 18-23 and Nov. 25-30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
