Northern Collegiate’s runners were light on their feet at the SWOSSAA cross country finals, held at Canatara Park Oct. 24.
Vikings runner Kaitlyn Handy finished well ahead of the pack in the midget girls 4k, with a time of 17:03 while teammate Aidan James finished first in the junior boys 5k, edging out Sebastien Frenette of St. Patrick’s by 0:06.
Alexander Mackenzie runners Mathew Pastorius and Isiah Hawryluk finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the 3k para mixed.
