New Ontario dental program for seniors taking applications

Low-income residents of Sarnia-Lambton can now apply for free, routine dental care under Ontario’s senior dental care program.

Low-income residents of Sarnia-Lambton can now apply for free, routine dental care under Ontario’s senior dental care program.

To qualify, you must be an Ontario residents age 65 or older, have an annual net incomes of less than $19,300 for a single person and $32,300 for a couple, and no access to private or government dental benefits.

Many services are covered, including examinations, cleaning, cavity and broken tooth repairs, X-rays, gum treatment and extractions.

To apply, go online to Ontario.ca/SeniorsDental or pick up a form from Lambton Public Health at 160 Exmouth St. in Point Edward.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and by calling 519-383-8331.
