The Catholic school board and Kettle and Stony Point First Nation have reached a tuition services agreement for students attending St. Patrick’s High School.

The agreement is the first between the band and St. Clair Catholic District School Board and provides a framework for student supports while setting out reporting requirements for tuition fees collected by the board.

A signing ceremony took place at Hillside School in Kettle Point on Oct. 24.

Tuition service agreements are being developed between school boards and First Nations across the province under the direction of Aboriginal Affairs & Northern Development Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Education.
