Bluewater Health and Lambton Elderly Outreach (LEO) announced this week that Lisa Regan has been appointed as vice president, care transitions for Bluewater Health, and CEO of LEO.
Regan, currently the hospital’s director of emergency services & care transitions, will succeed integrated executive and CEO of LEO, Paula Reaume-Zimmer, as she transitions to her role as incoming president & CEO of Bluewater Health.
Regan will report to the president & CEO of Bluewater Health and the board of directors at LEO.
The executive role assumes accountability for a diversified portfolio of corporate, clinical, and clinical support services – with an emphasis on external relations with community support service partners, the hospital noted in a press release.
“I’ve worked closely with Lisa over the years, including during the pivotal period of transitioning services to one hospital in Sarnia,” said Bluewater Health president and CEO Mike Lapaine.
“During that time, she worked diligently with all hospital departments and effectively led a smooth transition plan for all patients and staff to the new hospital location.
“Her leadership style was always that of coach, mentor, and dedicated resource to her team and colleagues.”
Regan, a registered nurse, has held a decades-long career with Bluewater Health, having first started in Sarnia’s St. Joseph’s Hospital as an ICU nurse. She has held various leadership positions at Bluewater Health over the last 33 years.
Regan will start her new executive role on January 1, 2023. Bluewater Health is currently recruiting for director, emergency services & care transitions.
