Sarnia is supporting an application by the city’s third craft brewer to sell beer directly to patrons at its manufacturing plant.

The Imperial City Brew House is seeking a “by the glass” licence for its microbrewery under construction at 1330 Exmouth St., in the former XS Cargo building.

If the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario agrees, Imperial will be allowed to serve craft beer brewed on site to tap room customers between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The company is also planning a retail area for the purchase of 473 ml cans of beer.
