The inaugural Music in the Gardens series in proved to be a big hit in Germain Park this summer.

The weekly series of free, live entertainment sessions was hosted by the Strangway Community Centre and offered at the new amphitheatre in Cox Gardens.

The gardens, a 2.5-acre “park within a park,” were a gift to Sarnians from philanthropist Norma Cox and officially opened in June.

Last week’s concert was staged by Rebound and its Act II Theatre group for youth ages seven to 25.
