Sarnia’s Michael Marinaro and partner Kirsten Moore-Towers of St. Catharines won bronze at Skate Canada International on Oct. 27.
Skating to a Pink Floyd medley, the pairs team scored 200.93 points, coming within a whisker of claiming silver.
“Missing the level on the death spiral in the final 10 seconds of the program was a really big bummer, half a point there cost us a silver medal,” Marinaro told Skate Canada.
“So it’s definitely a learning experience, margins here are so, so tiny.”
France won the pairs gold at the event in Laval, Que. and China took silver.
