Lambton College's week-long employment extravaganza kicked off Monday, and will include a ‘Mega job fair’ featuring more than 85 employers this week.
The ‘Workforce Week 2022’ event, in partnership with the college’s co-op and career services, the Sarnia-Lambton Workforce Development Board and Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, is being held through to Friday, Sept. 30.
The local effort to connect job seekers and employers is being touted as the ‘biggest employment event of the year’ according to the college. Events include virtual job search and career-related webinars from local businesses, keynote speakers, and an in-person ‘mega job fair’ to be held at the college’s Athletics & Fitness Complex Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes and dress for success as some employers may be willing to interview on site,” the college noted.
The event concludes Friday with employer panel webinars.
The Workforce Week series is free.
