John Sterling, of Corunna, constructs a wooden apparatus at the Strangway Centre used by physiotherapists to treat patients following hip and knee replacement surgery. He’s made two of them so far after seeing a friend use such a device during recovery. Sterling said he learned woodworking while attending SCITS, moved to Toronto for 50 years, and has retired back home. "When I came back to Sarnia I discovered the hobby shop and I come here quite often,” he said. Glenn Ogilvie
