Michael Marinaro of the Point Edward Figure Skating is heading for the Four Continent Figure Skating Championships.

Marinaro and his new partner Kirsten Towers-Moore form one of three pairs teams competing for Canada at the event in Seoul, Korea from Feb. 9-15.

But the pair won’t be heading to the World Championships next month in Shanghai, China.

They were left off that team after finishing fourth in the pairs competition at the recent Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championships in Kingston.

Only the top three teams are eligible for the Worlds.

Marinaro and Towers-Moore were beaten out by less than a point for third spot by Julianne Seguin and Charlie Bilodeau of Quebec.
