With love to spare

Jack Isom was synonymous with bowling in Sarnia. But when he died at the age of 93 in February he had requested there be no funeral.

So, to celebrate his life and memory, family and friends gathered at Marcin Bowl on April 26 to roll some 5-pin and reminisce while wearing some of the 40 bowling shirts Jack had collected over the years.

Here, Sue Brown and her brother John Isom hold a photo of their late dad.

Isom was a Master Bowler of Canada, a long-time youth instructor and member of the Sarnia-Lambton Sports Hall of Fame.

He continued bowling in the Pensioners’ League to the age of 91.
