“Rock ‘n Roll Nite” at Kenwick-on-the-Lake wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea. An article published in the Sarnia Observer on July 24, 1956 entitled “Primitive But Also Popular” declared: “When this ‘music’ is imagined without notes, it is like the throb that is produced by a very fracturing headache.”
