Camlachie’s Tyler Whitbread is at the Canadian National Junior Team Selection Camp this week in Australia.
The 18-year-old St. Clair Secondary School student is among 11 pitchers at the camp.
Team Canada is in the midst of six exhibition games down under before final selections are made to represent this country at the U-18 Baseball World Cup in Japan from Aug. 28 to Sept. 6.
The lanky right-hander will attend Indiana State University on a baseball scholarship in 2016.
