Four local players will play Tier II Junior ‘A’ hockey with the Northern Colorado Eagles of the Western States Hockey League this season.

Sarnia native and St. Patrick’s High School grad Tyler McLean said he likes the team’s training facilities and hockey culture, and hopes the season can lead to a spot on a European pro team.

The 20-year-old defenceman played ‘AA’ Sarnia Sting minor hockey and is entering his fourth year of junior after spending time with the Wallaceburg Lakers, Lambton Shores Predators and Komoka Kings.

Former Sarnia Legionnaires Ethan DuPont, Jarret Marks and Zack Vanderwal have also signed with the Colorado team for the 2018-19 season.
