A ceremony held at Jackpot City last week marked a milestone for the local gaming industry.

Some $5 million has been raised for 99 charities with the Sarnia Country Gaming Association since the revitalization of charitable bingo and gaming.

“Raising $5 million since November 2015 to benefit local charities and non-profit organizations in our community is a tremendous achievement,” said Bob Bailey, MPP Sarnia- Lambton.

The program is delivered through a partnership between Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association, the Commercial Gaming Association of Ontario, local charities and gaming and bingo centre operators.
